Bosnia

A Brief History

The inter-ethnic war from 1992 to 1995 left Bosnia's infrastructure and economy in ruins. Around 2 million people (about half the population) were displaced and unable to return to their homes in safety.

Although progress has since been reported with almost 1 million people returning back to their homes, the situation is still fragile with much of the war damage still evident, unemployment high, and crime and corruption on the rise.

Muslim Aid's Field Office in Bosnia

The field office in Bosnia was set up in 2006, and although fairly new, is still building on its donation activities that were carried out before the field office was established.

Orphan care is one of the areas the office will attempt to concentrate on.
Muslim Aid’s work in Bosnia

Muslim Aid attempted to assist the Bosnian people through providing medical assistance, food aid, clothing and temporary shelter.
