Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary General Visits Muslim Aid Head Office

Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), visited the Head Office of Muslim Aid in London on 11th March 2010 to discuss cooperation between Muslim Aid and the OIC in the area of humanitarian relief and sustainable development in countries affected by disaster and conflict.

He also announced that the OIC will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen its strategic partnership with Muslim Aid.
Professor Ihsanoglu met with the Trustees and office bearers of the organisation and expressed his appreciation towards the humanitarian work that Muslim Aid is undertaking around the world. Amongst the attendees were senior members of the community, Heads of diplomatic missions, journalists and heads of NGOs.
The Secretary General said: “Muslim Aid is a great institution. Muslims in Britain and all over the world should be proud of their achievements. The OIC looks forward to strengthening its relationship with Muslim Aid.”
