Poverty is vicious! The sad fact is that people all over the world are still getting poorer and more distressed. What is really shocking is, more than 300 million children go to bed hungry every night as nearly half of the world’s population lives on less than
$2 a day (Source: UN Millennium Project).
Ask yourself, is this acceptable?
The answer is definately NO!
So here’s where YOU come in! Take the Muslim Aid Snowdon Challenge and trek the highest mountain in England and Wales to raise money for poor and disadvantaged people.

60 brave souls just climbed Britain’s highest peak, Ben Nevis, a couple of weeks ago and raised over £30,000 in the process. These adventurers didn’t do all that because they are super people (although on the trip we had a few brothers and sisters who thought they were!) but because the cause pushes them to literally move the earth to help those in need!

Take Awais Ali who was on the Ben Nevis Trek and told us “The trek allowed me to make a big difference to those less fortunate than me. Making donations wasn't enough for me so this was a perfect opportunity to make a practical difference for once. Not only did I reach the top of the mountain, but I also made some great friends along the way.”

And for Snowdon 2010 it is no different. By joining the trek YOU will be raising money for Muslim Aid’s Emergency Relief and Development programmes around the world.
What Muslim Aid could do with YOUR £500:
• £500 can provide sanitary latrines and dig a drinking water tube well for a whole village in many poverty striken countries.
• £500 can provide emergency shelter for 10 families in a disaster zone.
• £500 can provide food parcels for 5 large families for one whole month.
• £500 can provide basic support for a widow and family for 1 year in many
poor and war torn countries.
Dates:
Depart: 30th July 2010
Trek: 31st July 2010
Return: 1st August 2010
The Cause: Muslim Aid’s Emergency Relief and Development programmes
Location: Snowdonia, Wales
