Lebanon Crisis
The war in Lebanon was one of Muslim Aid’s largest emergency appeals, with over 1000 people were killed, at least 4000 injured, and 500,000 displaced.
What we do
In response to this Muslim Aid raised over £700,000, and working in partnership with local organisations, Muslim Aid managed to mobilise 800 volunteers for the delivery of aid.
The financial aid was used to:
- Distribute warm meals and food units; 2100 daily meals on average
- Distribute mattresses and bedding among the displaced people
- Distribute sanitary units
- Transport civilians from southern villages to safe locations in Saida and Beriut
- Secure ambulances in co-operation with Al-Hussien Medical Center and Al Imam Ali infirmary
- Offer emergency medical aid and providing patients with care and medicine
- Provide toys and activities to children
