2010 Case study: Ewoma, Niger

Ewoma (above) from Niamey, the capital of Niger, is elderly and frail. She lives in an impoverished community where poverty is rife and food is in short supply. Thanks to your generous donations, Ewoma was so grateful to receive a Qurbani blessing last year that she couldn’t help but give us this warm smile as she picked up her parcel.

Eating meat is rare for Aboyami (top right) and his family but last year's Eid was one he will always treasure because of the precious meat gift he happily picked up from Muslim Aid.

 

2010 Case Study: Aminata, Sierra Leone


Aminata, lives in Port Loko district, a northern province in Sierra Leone. She is severely handicapped and can only move with her wheelchair. Life is difficult but, thanks to Muslim Aid donors, she was among those fortunate enough to receive a Qurbani gift. Last year’s Eid is one she fondly remembers and will cherish for a long time.

 

2010 Case Study: Kamara, Sierra Leone

Kamara (top left) from Foradugu town is a 63 year old man who was released from prison three months prior to Muslim Aid's Qurbani programme. He made the following statement:

This day today is my second happiest day in my life that I will never forget.Of course, all my five years in prison, I never tasted even fish or bone let alone meat. I regard this big meat not only as food but also as vitamins that would replace all nutrients lost over the years. May God bless you people.
