Keep Warm Kits for St. James' Church

Wednesday 6th February saw Muslim Aid visit the St. James’ Church pensioner’s club in Bethnal Green, where weekly sessions of games, tea and chit-chat are held for the elderly within the local area. As part of the Warm Hearts Winter Campaign, Muslim Aid provided Keep Warm Kits, which included heaters, blankets and scarves, to club members, some of whom lived alone, and away from close family and friends.
Eighty-four year old Mary Lynn showed her gratitude upon receiving her gifts, telling Muslim Aid that the cold weather was particularly difficult as her arthritis would worsen.
So far, Muslim Aid’s Warm Hearts Winter Campaign has raised over £38,000, helping to support the homeless and elderly during the cold winter season, both here in the UK and overseas.
