Nasibu Benatari, South Africa

Nasibu lives with his family in Johannesburg. His father died in 2007 and the family has been struggling since. Nasibu’s mother sells vegetables but her income is not enough to cover both living and educational expenses. Due to the lack of money to buy adequate food, Nasibu began to suffer from malnourishment.

Nasibu joined the Rainbow Family in January 2010. School fees in Johannesburg are very high and the sponsorship made it easier for Nasibu to continue his education. His mother is now able to provide food that provides the family with adequate nutrition. Since he started School, Nasibu radiates with enthusiasm, describing the Rainbow Family Programme as his “tractor to farm my life”.
