Who we are?

Muslim Aid is a British, faith-based international development organisation that provides support to communities around the world affected by disasters, conflict or endemic poverty without regard to their social, religious, or ethnic background.

There are certain periods during the year when Muslim Aid requires additional staffing assistance within our Supporter Relations and Fundraising teams. Ramadan and Qurbani are key seasonal lifts for the organisation and it is during these periods that Muslim Aid raises more funds than at any other time. These funds are used throughout the year for the essential humanitarian and development work that the organisation carries out in the UK and around the world.

What you’ll be doing:

Live Television Appeals. In 2019 Muslim Aid will be holding nine Live Appeals.

Working during Live Appeals is a very busy, exciting time. This is the time that everyone in the team has to pull together to have a huge, significant impact in a very short space of time. The role of the Supporter Relations Assistant can not be underestimated as whatever interaction takes place will always, without exception be remembered in what we aim to be a positive, fulfilling experience.

The Supporter Relations Assistant (Live Appeals) role is responsible for taking phone calls and processing donations from supporters. You will provide critical support answering queries, promoting our services/products and processing donations. You will be required to enter records accurately onto the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System and to maintain a high level of accuracy in all management information.

This role will provide excellent service on a daily basis and be the first point of contact for all internal and external supporter related queries.

We want to provide the best possible level of service to our supporters to ensure they feel valued and are given a high standard of care. For this we are looking for individuals with exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work at pace with patience and a positive attitude. The role requires someone who is passionate about the work Muslim Aid does and be able to express that over the telephone, sharing their knowledge articulately and confidently.

Friday 10th May – 18.00 – 04.00

Monday 27th May – 21.00 – 04.00

Friday 31 May – shifts tbc

Saturday 01 June – 18.00 – 04.00

Hourly rate

£10.11 per hour
