Yemen Emergency Appeal

“ The world’s worst humanitarian crisis.”

– UN Secretary-General.

Right now 22 million people in Yemen are in desperate need of our help.8.4 million people do not know how they will get their next meal and are at risk of starvation.Children are the most vulnerable, with one child under 5 years dying every 10 minutes from preventable causes. This humanitarian crisis is quite literally the worst the world has seen in decades. We must act now to avert a deadly famine.

Since the start of the conflict in 2015 almost 9,000 people have been killed and over 50,000 have been injured. Over 2 million people have had to flee their homes and livelihoods to escape rising tensions and food shortages.

Children are wasting away – it is heartbreaking. Already 2.9 million children are acutely malnourished and 462,000 are severely malnourished and at risk of dying.

1.1 million people are suffering in a Cholera outbreak that is killing rapidly in already desperate conditions.

The situation is critical - millions of people are at risk of starvation, disease and violence. And with the conflict escalating it is likely that food and medical supplies will become even more scarce.

We can’t let this go on.

Muslim Aid is working with our partners to deliver food, clean water, healthcare, and essential non-food items. We will not stand by and watch this devastation unfold, we are ready to respond.

Our efforts are only made possible with your support. You help could save lives
