South Asia Earthquake Appeal

Muslim Aid staff were deployed into affected areas, following a devastating earthquake which affected parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. The earthquake which measured 7.7 on the Richter Scale had its epicenter in Northern Afghanistan and struck with devastating consequences in 2015.

In the first 24 hours following the earthquake, more than 350 people perished and over 2000 were injured. There were reports of collapsed buildings, landslides and stampedes all adding to the chaos.

Muslim Aid staff have been deployed into affected areas, following a devastating earthquake which has affected parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. The earthquake which measured 7.5 on the Richter Scale had its epicenter in Northern Afghanistan and struck with devastating consequences on Monday afternoon at 2:09pm local time.

In the first 24 hours following the earthquake more than 350 people have perished and over 2000 injured; these figures are expected to rise as the damage is fully assessed. There have been reports of collapsed buildings, landslides and stampedes all adding to the chaos.
