Who we are:
Muslim Aid is a British, faith-based international development organisation that provides support to communities around the world affected by disasters, conflict or endemic poverty without regard to their social, religious, or ethnic background.
There are certain periods during the year when Muslim Aid requires additional staffing assistance within our Supporter Relations and Fundraising teams. Ramadan and Qurbani are key seasonal lifts for the organisation and it is during these periods that Muslim Aid raises more funds than at any other time. These funds are used throughout the year for the essential humanitarian and development work that the organisation carries out in the UK and around the world.
What you will be doing:
Muslim Aid are recruiting for a number of flexible, temporary positions between April and August this year, one of these is the Fundraising and Collections Assistant.
The Fundraising and Collections Assistant will work with the Muslim Aid Fundraising team to assist with the smooth running of Ramadan and Qurbani events. This is an extremely busy time and the fundraising team have a highly active and dynamic schedule.
This role will contribute to the seasonal fundraising target through planning events, managing volunteers and organising and managing collection activities. You will establish and maintain contact with supporters, volunteers, local community leaders, mosques, external organisations and schools.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for confident, articulate individuals with high energy, exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work at pace with patience and a positive attitude. The role requires someone who has experience of working in a fundraising or events management role and with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills. You must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends and be flexible with your availability as events and activities change regularly during this exciting time.

Various shifts available:
Out of hours events, evenings, weekends
Mid-April – Mid June
Shifts available every day during this period
£8.21 per hour
