Part One: A - F
Here at Muslim Aid, we like to have all of our bases covered, and we aim to do our best to deliver support wherever we can. Our primary focus is to serve all of humanity, but we can only do this with your help.
When you think about just how many people out there need our help, it can be rather shocking; from the many different war-torn countries around the world to those in need right here on our own doorstep, there are babies and children, adults and elderly people, all in need of a helping hand.
Just to demonstrate exactly how many people out there need our continued support and how many different ways there are to contribute, we have put together an A-Z of our campaigns and projects, in a four-part special - and this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the work that we do.
In Islam, when a child is born, an aqiqah must be carried out. The term aqiqah means animal sacrifice and the act of shaving the hair off the child’s head. It is recommended that aqiqah is performed seven days after the birth of the child. Here at Muslim Aid, we do our utmost best to accommodate this time frame on your behalf. However, the weight of the child’s hair according to the rate of silver will need to be calculated by the donor themselves.
Over half of schools in Bangladesh have no access to drinking water. You can make a difference by supporting the Muslim Aid WASH project.
At Muslim Aid, we believe children are our future. There are many children worldwide who have lost their parents or have no access to sufficient education. Sponsor a child with Muslim Aid today and help shape the future.
Dig a well
Lack of sanitary water is responsible for millions of deaths worldwide every year. You can help change through our Dig a Well Project, and help provide access to clean water to thousands of people.
Education is key to a child’s emotional and physical development. It is also necessary to gain basic skills in life in order for a child to progress and pioneer a stable future for themselves. Help shape a child’s future by donating towards their education.
There are many ways in which individuals or groups can raise funds for a good cause; be it by organising a local challenge, an activity or raising awareness, you can arrange or partake in local activities to raise funds for a good cause.
