What a Difference a Day Makes

The world is just a small part of what we were created for, a mere stop gap in the ever long journey. So why do we hold on to anything and everything that is of worldly value? We tend to veer towards all that benefits us here and not so much in the Hereafter.

Here, we tend to collect money and that which forms our wealth, but we are ignorant of the fact that our real wealth is in the Hereafter. When we collect blessings, good deeds and dua (prayers), this, in fact, is our real wealth for our Hereafter – there, money is nothing, it does not even exist.

Us humans are completely entranced by material goods and drawn to the beauty and appeal of worldly things; we are captivated by what the world has to offer but fail to use it as our ticket to heaven. We are not immortal; we will not remain in this world forever.

Allah SWT does many things to test our character, to test our generosity - so seek pleasure, not in your today, but in your tomorrow. Learn to share, learn to guide and learn that after every difficulty, there is a relief. Feel safe in the knowledge that Allah SWT would not put us through any more than which we are capable of handling.

It is said that the Holy Prophet Mohammed PBUH has narrated that the true believer isn’t one who can eat while his neighbour is hungry. The true believer is generous and will share. The wicked person is he whom shall be ignorant and deceitful.

It is also narrated in the Holy Qur’an:

“Truthfully, my Lord enlarges the delivery for whom He wills of His slaves, (and also restricts it) for him, and whatsoever you spend of anything (in Allah’s Cause), He will replace it, and thus increase it. He is the Best of providers.”

-          The Holy Qur’an (34:39)

"You will never attain the reward until you spend, in the way of Allah, from that which you love the most."

-          The Holy Qur’an (3:92)

So, brothers and sisters, let’s wake up from this deep sleep and share what we have with those who need and deserve it. Donate to Muslim Aid towards a good cause today and ensure you collect your blessings for your Hereafter.
