Muslim Aid Somalia - Truck Bombing response

Muslim Aid Somalia - Truck Bombing response

Muslim Aid is devastated to learn of the recent truck bombing attack in Mogadishu, Somalia, a country in which we have been working for many years to assist those most in need.

We have been working in Somalia since 1993 on a widespread development programme focusing on health, education and water and sanitation programmes which has pulled many thousands of people out of poverty.  Our broad-based work has been resourced by the range of international, European and UK donors as well as receiving significant support from the UK public.  We have, therefore, a proud history of delivering vital development assistance to the most vulnerable in Somalia as well as of responding to the disasters of recent years including the recent famine across East Africa.

Our Muslim Aid Team in Somalia is currently working to see how we can best respond and help those affected by this tragic incident

Our prayers are with the people of Somalia who have suffered over two decades of war, conflict, droughts and poverty.
