Eid ul Adha Mubarak!

Eid ul Adha Mubarak!

On the auspicious day of Eid ul Adha, from all of us at Muslim Aid, I’d like to wish you and your family; Eid Mubarak.    Taqabbal Allaahu minna wa minkum (May Allaah accept (this worship) from us and from you)

At the end of the Holy Pilgrimage of Hajj, Eid ul Adha is a time for joy, self-reflection, sacrifice and worship.  We are thankful to all our supporters for donating their Qurbani with us, thereby fulfilling the tradition of Prophet Abraham (pbuh).  Through your Qurbani donations, you brought joy to thousands of people across the world who would otherwise have gone hungry this Eid.  You fulfilled a Sunnah that feels so good.

This Eid is a time for sacrifice and we are also thankful to the numerous volunteers that have given up their time and made great efforts to help us during our Qurbani campaign. From helping us create the world’s largest samosa (officially recognised by Guinness World Records) which we distributed to the homeless via Booth house and the Salvation army – to sacrificing their time to help strengthen community and interfaith bonds through our ‘Abraham initiative’ where we helped clean and tidy a local Church and Synagogue, our volunteers have once again proven themselves to be the backbone of our work.
