Feed the Fasting Update

THIS RAMADAN...GIVE FREEDOM. FEED THE FASTING 2014

At Muslim Aid we would like to express a big thank you to all our valued donors who gave generously to our Feed the Fasting Programme during Ramadan 2011.

As a staggering 1 billion people go to bed hungry every night, our programme managed to reach the most neediest communities with food packs in over 35 countries across the world. We’d say this was a small step with big results into addressing world hunger.

Muslim Aid staff on the ground were busy throughout Ramadan distributing nutritious food to orphans, destitute children, widows, the elderly and the disabled in many countries ranging from Somalia, Cambodia, Bosnia, Lebanon to Mexico. Communities were able to break their fast and keep their Suhoor with nourishing food to help them through Ramadan with staples such as lentils, dates, rice and beans.

These food packs have never been needed as much as they do now, as the worst drought and food shortage to hit the Horn of Africa in 60 years has affected close to 12 million people. Communities are in dire need of food and water. In Somalia we were able to provide food packs to people in desperate need of food.

We hope you will continue supporting us in achieving greater heights and reach more people to ensure that the poorest communities are given the basic sustenance and care that humankind deserves.

So from Muslim Aid, we thank you for being a part of this successful journey in serving humanity. We very much hope that together we will bring a significant change in the lives of our brothers and sisters in need across the world.
