On the occasion of the Annual Trustees Week being observed in the UK from 4-10 November 2013, Muslim Aid joins the Charity Commission and other participating NGOs in acknowledging the notable contribution charity trustees make to the non-profit sector and thanks them for their expert time, dedication and commitment to help needy and vulnerable communities in the UK and around the world.
A Spokesperson for Muslim Aid said: “Charity Trustees bring a wealth of expertise in the areas of strategy, financial controls, governance, management of resources and fundraising and are immense help to the organisations they represent as members of their boards. In the case of Muslim Aid, its Trustees have worked tirelessly to take Muslim Aid from its humble beginnings to the level of an international humanitarian and development organisation. Their aim is, and has always been, serving humanity with accountability to the donors in the most efficient, cost effective and transparent manner. We also take this opportunity to honour the Trustees of all other charities who are making selfless efforts to help people wherever there is need.”
“We also congratulate the Charity Commission for lending its support to a range of events planned across the UK to mark the Trustees week”, added the Spokesperson.
