Muslim Aid launches appeal to help the affected communities in Myanmar

Muslim Aid has launched an emergency appeal to provide help and support to the Rohingya people. We are working inside Myanmar through a credible regional partner whose emergency response covers those affected by the violence. Through its partner Muslim Aid has been providing food items, sanitary items and clothes to around 540 households.

The Government of Myanmar has recently allowed the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) to provide essential food and non food aid inside Myanmar to the displaced Rohingya Muslim minority. Muslim Aid is an implementing partner of the OIC and has a track record of provide humanitarian assistance inside Somalia on behalf of the OIC. The modalities of delivery of aid through accredited NGOs are being worked out between the OIC and the Government of Myanmar.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
