Orphans Get Involved in Science Programme in Indonesia

Muslim Aid Indonesia’s sub-field office organised a science programme for 40 orphans in Yogyakarta. This programme aims to expand their scientific knowledge and inspire the children to learn more about nature.

Muslim Aid’s child sponsorship hafiz mentor team held various games, focusing on scientific learning. “This year’s event focuses on learning, yet also functions as a chance for the orphans to experience a field trip,” said Suharti, Muslim Aid’s sub-field coordinator.

The hafiz programme is designed especially for children learning the Al-Qur’an. The program also includes delivering education and health awareness sessions. Muslim Aid also delivers mentoring sessions in sanitation, health and personal development so that orphans get a head start in life

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
