Press Releases: Updates from Muslim Aid

Ramadan message from the Chairman

 السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

The Ummah the world over welcomes the Blessed month of Ramadan, the month in which the Holy Qur’an was revealed to guide mankind; a month for extra prayers, reflection, generosity and taubah. I extend to you all my warmest greetings and good wishes at this important time.

This year the theme of Muslim Aid’s Ramadan campaign continues as: ‘You Give, We Serve’. This highlights the simplicity of our work as well as the significance of our partnership with our donors who enable us to undertake our work on their behalf; when you give, we are able to serve those in need.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, Muslim Aid delivers one-month food parcels to families in need as well as continuing with its core emergency projects such as water / sanitation, healthcare and Rainbow Family Child Support Programmes. Your generous support at this time is critical and is the basis on which we can help those who need it most around the world.

I would like to thank all those who supported us last Ramadan and allowed us to assist over 220,000 people across the world for whom Muslim Aid was a lifeline and provided hope in their time of need.

This year we appeal to you to support us again in any way you can, be it by donating, volunteering your time or fundraising with your family and friends in order to help us widen our reach and support more of the world’s most poor, disadvantaged and suffering individuals across dozens of countries and in all continents of the world.

I would once again like to wish you and your loved ones a rewarding and successful Ramadan. I pray that Allah (SWT) grants us health and imaan to seek His reward through good deeds. I also pray that Allah (SWT) grants ease for all our brothers and sisters around the world who are facing difficulties and suffering hardship. Ameen.

Ramadan Kareem and best wishes,

Dr Suhaib Hasan
