In light of recent tragic events that have taken place in Manchester, London and all around the world, this Ramadan, on the 10th of June Muslim Aid is proud to be hosting an interfaith and cross-cultural sunset walk in peace, unity and solidarity to remember innocent victims of violence around the world. The walk will take place from St Paul's Cathedral and finish at East London Mosque, parallel to a walk taking place in Birmingham and Manchester.
The walk, consisting of participants from all faith backgrounds, supporters and members of Muslim Aid UK and Citizens UK will begin at 7.30pm and arrive at the mosque at around 8.30pm. The evening will end with breaking of the fast (iftar).
Participants are encouraged to raise nominal amounts to take part in the walk amounting to £50. The funds will go towards Muslim Aid's work in Syria.
In order to respect both the church and the mosque we shall be walking to and from, we ask participants to please keep in mind a modest dress code (arms and legs covered for both men and women).
We look forward to welcoming you to join us to show that we stand together with the plight of innocent civilians that are affected by different forms of violence around the world.
Walk with us and pray for peace. We are stronger together.
