Consultant Yemen

Location: Aden - Yemen

Duration of Assignment: 12 months

Type: Full-time

Fee: $37,000 per annum

Who we are?

Muslim Aid was established in the UK in 1985 by community leaders from 17 Islamic organisations in response to the drought in the Horn of Africa. We are a faith-based British international charity who provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, discrimination, homelessness, debt, unemployment, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.

We are looking for?

A successful consultant who will manage a portfolio of projects and partners for Muslim Aid in Yemen and focus on establishing systems and processes in country. The content and decisions of the vision, goals and outcomes will be owned by the organisation.

The consultant will have the following competencies:

  • A strong understanding of the international development sector including current thinking and practice around humanitarian response.
  • Proven experience working internationally in development and/or humanitarian sector, especially in the Yemen context.
  • Experience of multiple donor grant management and reporting to major donors.
  • Proven knowledge of programme design, development and implementation.
  • Ability to network with key stakeholders particularly for fundraising and advocacy.
  • Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation of programmes; use of quantitative and qualitative research data collection in support of programme development.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to Muslim Aid’s Child and Vulnerable Adults Policy and Procedure.
