MA-UK Myanmar is an international non-profit non-governmental organisation registered in Myanmar. Our organisation has been providing vital emergency assistance and long-term development projects to thousands of people in dire need of humanitarian assistance throughout Myanmar since 2012. Our areas of work include education, livelihood, WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene), and emergency response.
MA-UK Myanmar is currently looking for a Head of Programmes’ (HoP) who will lead the development, implementation, management, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all MA-UK country programs. S/he will be responsible for ensuring these respond to current development and humanitarian trends. The HoP will be required to spend 50% of his/her time in the field leading, assisting and providing feedback to the project and program officers and managers.
For this position we are looking for a strong programmes focused individual who has solid experience in successfully leading development and humanitarian programmes in challenging country contexts and a proven track record of working on livelihood, emergency health and education projects. Candidates must have proven experience in the development and implementation of projects with specific emphasis on monitoring and evaluation. Candidates must also be skilled in managing and supervising large programme teams including distance management.
