Programmes Internship – Institutional Funding

Muslim Aid is a British, faith-based international development organisation that provides support to communities around the world affected by disasters, conflict or endemic poverty without regard to their social, religious, or ethnic background.
We have an Internship opportunity within the Institutional Funding team as part of the wider International Programmes Department.
This internship willprovidesupport to the Institutional Funding team to help grow and diversify institutional funding, support country offices, monitor grant management systems and processes and support proposal development.
The opportunity will provide an effective means of developing research, fundraising and communication skills, along with the opportunity to gain an understanding of the work of an international charity within the development and humanitarian sector.
You will be given ownership over distinct projects during the three months which will give you an extensive understanding of institutional funding and international programmes in general.
The position will be based in London and will ideally be for three-month period, starting in August 2019.
This is an excellent opportunity for either a student or graduate seeking a career in International Programmes to gain solid experience and develop their skills. As an Intern you will be well supported throughout and integrated into the team.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and enthusiastic about development and humanitarian work and hold or be working towards a degree or other qualification in a relevant subject such as International Development or International Relations.
Travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed up to £15 per day, according to Muslim Aid volunteer expenses policy,
