Summary of Role

The International Programmes Department (IPD) is a large, busy, multi-functional team at the heart of the work of Muslim Aid (MA) in the UK and internationally.

The Programmes Partnerships Officer role is to support the Programmes Partnerships Manager in achieving the strategic objectives of Muslim Aid. This includes supporting with the financial, technical, and administrative aspects of all partner-implemented projects and programmes.

The role will also lead (as required) in delivering special and seasonal programmes including community-based education, Ramadan, Qurbani, and winter programmes.

About the Role

The main responsibilities of this role will be to:

  1. To provide overall support with partner-implemented projects and lead (as required) in delivering the community-based education, Ramadan, Qurbani and Winter.
  2. Assist and where required lead, in the review of concept notes, project proposals, budgets and narrative/financial reports.
  3. Remotely monitor the implementation of key MA projects and programmes using Muslim Aid programme management systems and assist the PPM in troubleshooting issues and finding alternatives.
  4. Support the PPM in the capacity-development and knowledge-sharing with Implementing Partners.
  5. To work at all times to build a close, two-way working relationship, where partners are respected, listened to and supported and to create an open channel to discuss problems and constraints as they arise.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  1. Experience of Islamic faith-based programming (Qurbani and Ramadan) and the values and beliefs that drive those programmes.
  2. Experience of international development projects.
  3. Experience of working with proposals, budgets, data and reports
  4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Good organisational and time management skills.
  6. Ability to work in and with a diverse team.
