When are the 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah 2025?

10 Days of Dhul Hijjah Quotes

“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” Hadith – Sahih al-Bukhari

“There is no deed more precious in the sight of Allah, nor greater in reward, than a good deed done during the ten days of Sacrifice.” Ibn ‘Abbas.

What to Do in the 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah

Once you understand the importance of the 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, and how your actions can make a significant difference to the physical and spiritual wellbeing of yourself and so many others, it is time to start planning out what those actions should be. We have highlighted below some of the most meaningful things you can do.

Can You Fast During the 10 Blessed Days of Dhil Hijjah?

It is considered Sunnah to fast specifically during one or all the first nine days of Dhul Hijjah. Fasting is said to cleanse you particularly of any sins from the previous year and of the coming year, giving an individual time to reflect and contemplate.

Use the 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah to Re-Establish Affirmations

During these 10 blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, take the opportunity to recite Takbir (Allahu Akbar), Tahmid (Al-hamdu Lillah), Tahlil (La ilaha ill-Allah), and Tasbih (Subhan Allah) as often and as forcefully as possible, whether at home, in the mosque, in the workplace, or in the street. It is too easy to let things slip during the course of the year, and specifically, making a point of these exhortations will refresh and reinvigorate your faith.

Make sure you look for good deeds to do wherever and whenever you can. From helping elderly neighbours to increasing your Qurbani donations, these 10 days of Dhul Hijjah will focus the mind on greater acts of worship.
