Helping Nabeela: Aid in Gaza

Salaam Everyone,

  Since the month of Ramadan has come upon us, it has provided us with an excellent opportunity to strive to help out in ways that we can. Especially regarding the cause of Gaza due to the ongoing occupation.

  I have, with the help of a few people, been blessed to provide an opportunity for everyone to do their part for our brothers and sisters currently suffering under the occupation in Northern Gaza. Nabeela, currently a resident of Beit Lahia in Northern Gaza, has witnessed a harsh time during this war. With the addition to the fear of losing her family, her house, once a place filled with love, has been bombed and destroyed, rendering her family with little hope of recovery.

  The recent conflict harshly impacted Nabeela’s husband and son - stripping both of them of their income, resulting in basic necessities being hard to come by.

A few words from our sister in Gaza as well:

“ Here is a large number who did not flee and leave their lands and homes, even if they were destroyed and burned. They remained steadfast, including me and all of my family. But we did not realize that a day would come when we would find food and drink, and the children would die of hunger because the existence of bread would be destroyed. Only some herbs that grow from the falling rain. Thank God for everything.”

“I want to help my governorate by offering them pure filtered water, food, and meat, but they are expensive and scarce here because aid does not enter, including flour, as well as clothes, blankets, cleaning materials, feminine napkins, and cooking utensils, because many here have their homes destroyed and have lost everything they own. I hope to find the money and donation to continue my volunteer work, which I have been doing for many years. I used to work day and night and now I offer Ramadan baskets. Help me get back again.”

In Sha Allah every penny given in this cause will benefit the people of Northern Gaza. The people of Palestine have been suffering decades of torment from its occupiers. May Allah accept what we give in His way as our sacrifice is almost nothing compared to the struggle of every Palestinian man, woman, child.

The brutal attacks on Gaza have killed nearly 30,000 people and injured over 68,000. More than 1.8 million residents of Gaza have been forced to flee their homes with nowhere to run that is safe.

The continued escalation in relentless violence is horrifying to witness. The death toll is rising every day. Together, we can save lives in Palestine.
