Give As You Earn

The Give As You Earn (GAYE) or Payroll Giving scheme provides you with a regular, fuss-free and impactful way to support our work for the long term. It is an effective way to support Muslim Aid directly through your salary.

How Give As You Earn works.

In today’s fast-paced world, it can be difficult to ensure you donate to causes important to you as frequently as you like. The GAYE scheme sets up regular monthly giving to come out of your salary before it is taxed.

Benefits of Give As You Earn.

Taking only moments to set up, payroll giving benefits you, your employers and most importantly the communities served by your generosity.

As the donation is paid before the tax is deducted from your pay, Muslim Aid receives more than you give.

Whether you are on the lowest tax band or a high-earner, the GAYE scheme makes donating tax-efficient and ensures we can reach even more people with your support.

What’s even better, is that many employers will also boost your donation and in some cases, even match-fund your donation. This means that your donation not only goes further from being deducted before tax, but often can be doubled too. Companies also often offer incentives too, where they offer a ‘one-off’ gift to the charity when you set up the GAYE scheme with them.

Never underestimate your impact.

Having a reliable, steady source of income through schemes like GAYE allows us at Muslim Aid to plan our work more efficiently and invest in the essential systems and processes to maximise our impact on the ground.

Though it only takes a moment to sign up, signing up to Give As You Earn allows Muslim Aid to benefit vulnerable communities in an immense way. Regular, consistent support allows us to remain sustainable and future focused.

How do I sign up to GAYE?

There are a few simply steps to take to ensure you can begin.

  1. Check whether your employer is signed up to any payroll giving scheme. You can do this by contacting the HR department of your workplace.
  2. If they are signed up, that’s great! You can inform them to set up your giving to Muslim Aid. If not, it is simple and easy for them to sign up to the scheme.

If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, you can just contact us to help you out.
