The ongoing conflict has wiped out entire neighbourhoods. In the last year, more than 150,000 homes have been completely destroyed. 90% of Gaza’s population, 1.9 million people have been displaced.
When their homes were destroyed, belongings and memories were destroyed with them. Now, with nowhere to live, millions of people are sleeping wherever they can, seeking shelter in damaged schools or hospitals.

The impact of being homeless during this crisis is widespread. Without homes, there is no privacy or protection. Many have sought shelter in camps, but conditions are dire. Sanitation is severely inadequate with one toilet serving hundreds of people in cramped conditions. Women and children are particularly suffering. Families are huddled together in fear, exposed and vulnerable to the next offensive.
