Our Supporters’ Impact for Ramadan 2022

Here at Muslim Aid, we’d like to thank our donors for supporting and believing in us this Ramadan. The number of Zakat and Sadaqah donations that we received was overwhelming, and we’re always touched by the level of trust that our supporters have for us.

Despite the cost of living challenges here in the UK, our donors showed the strength of their Iman and generosity by coming to the aid of our brothers and sisters in their time of need.

This Ramadan, we were able to provide over two million meals, thanks to the donations of our supporters.

“Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in his reward.” (Tirmidhi)

Our generous donors enabled us to relieve the hunger of 37,516 people living in extreme poverty.

The donations we received meant that people in war-torn and famine-stricken countries like Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, and Palestine had the peace of mind of a guaranteed Suhoor in the morning and Iftar at night.

Responding is Believing

This Ramadan, the Muslim Aid community joined together to serve humanity and respond to those who require the most urgent support in our Ummah.

Our donors trusted us to take care of their Zakat and distribute these acts of worship to provide relief and hope.

  • The donations of our supporters saved Syria, one home at a time by building homes for our brothers and sisters, giving them a better future.
  • Our donors facilitated us in sending truckloads of food and medicine to Yemen and Afghanistan, saving the lives of innocent babies and children.
  • Our supporters directly responded to the tragic attacks on Masjid Al Aqsa by giving their Zakat in cash to vulnerable families and building solar-powered water desalination units in Gaza.
  • The support of our donors allowed us to save Somalia by feeding those affected by the famine and providing medical aid to those suffering from illness and disease.

The support of our donors didn’t end there…

After a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19 lockdown, our Iftar at the Shard was a complete sell-out and a phenomenal success. Our guests donated a total of £100k for the two appeals on the night: Support Our Work and the Save Yemen Emergency.

We offered the opportunity to set up a free Islamic Will in partnership with Islamic Finance Guru. The response was amazing, and we received thousands of pounds worth of bequests in Ramadan.

Once again, thousands of supporters automated their Nights of Power donations, thus catching the reward of giving on Laylatul Qadr by using our in-house platform Nights of Power as well as our trusted partner MyTenNights.

We had a phenomenal presence in the community this Ramadan. Our community fundraisers were overjoyed to meet, greet, and receive your donations, whether at Mosque Collections or Community and Volunteer Events.

Alhamdulillah, we raised hundreds of thousands of pounds on our Islam Channel Live Appeals and our very own Fundraising platform. Thanks to our partnership with some of the UK’s leading Muslim Influencers, we were able to take our message and appeals across the UK via social media.

However, without our incredible supporters, none of this would have been possible; we are thankful to Allah (SWT) to have them on our side. Once again, we’d like to thank our amazing donors for all their help this Ramadan. May Allah (SWT) reward each of them with good.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
