MUSLIM AID IS ONE OF 2020’S TOP 100 BEST LOVED CHARITIES

Muslim Aid is one of only two Muslim agencies to be included in market research company Savanta’s Top 100 Most Loved Charity Brands 2020. The other is Islamic Relief Worldwide.

The aim of the league table was to ‘determine which charity has captured the hearts of supporters across the UK.’ The data revealed that ‘love’ is an ‘important factor in increasing support for charities, both in terms of financial donations as well as in-kind support.’ It is ‘also a factor in building long-term engagement and vital in helping to form a long-lasting relationship between people and the charity they choose to donate to.’

Jehangir Malik OBE, Muslim Aid CEO said:

"Love is a major theme of the Top 100 charities report, and one I immediately connect to, because I've spent so long working in countries where people have so much less than I do. Working in humanitarian relief keeps me focusing back on love and caring for Muslim Aid's beneficiaries. It's a privilege to support them and a privilege to be included in this prestigious list."

The top three categories were Animal Welfare, Healthcare and Mental Health and Children and Families. International aid is amongst the best-represented sectors, although love expressed to this sector is not as strong as others.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
