Muslim Aid signs a MOU with the High Commission for Pakistan in for water projects in the North
Muslim Aid Sri Lanka has signed a MOU with the High Commission for Pakistan in Sri Lanka to provide water facilities to around 400 recently resettled families in Mannar and Mullaitivu districts.
The MOU was signed by the Her Excellency Seema Ilahi Baloch, the High Commissioner for Pakistan to Sri Lanka and the Country Director for Muslim Aid Sri Lanka Faizer Khan. The function was held at Pakistan High Commission in Colombo and the High Commission official and Muslim Aid representatives also attended the event.
A spokesperson for Muslim Aid Sri Lanka said, “This is a significant move to collaborate with the High Commission and provide safe drinking water for families in the area. In future we hope to serve more families in the resettled areas through such interventions.”
Muslim Aid Sri Lanka has been working in the Northern Province in constructing permanent houses, renovating hospitals, supporting livelihood initiatives for returnees and providing water and sanitation facilities for resettling people’.
