Muslim Aid welcomes the temporary truce in Gaza

Muslim Aid welcomes the commencement of a temporary pause in violence the Gaza Strip. After over 14,000 deaths, this move will stop the bloodshed and loss of life, albeit temporarily. However, a pause will not end the humanitarian catastrophe, without a permanent ceasefire and the opening of humanitarian corridors, the Palestinian people of Gaza will continue to suffer.

Muslim Aid will continue to call for an urgent necessity for a permeant ceasefire and the opening of Rafah Crossing to allow lifesaving aid into the besieged enclave. The bloodshed in Gaza has resulted in unprecedented human suffering, loss of life, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of civilians.

Muslim Aid reaffirms its commitment to Serving Humanity and urges all parties to engage in constructive dialogue, prioritise civilians, and work towards a comprehensive ceasefire.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
