Your philanthropy can have a huge impact in helping people who are struggling in poverty, suffering with the effects of war or reeling from natural disaster.
With us, you can choose how your gift will be used. You may decide to donate to emergency relief appeals, fund development projects for long-term change or have your donation contribute to securing institutional funding and thereby exponentially increasing the effects of your generosity.
Take a look at some of the ways philanthropists have supported us to deliver ground breaking projects:
Prosthetic limbs clinic – Syria
Those who survived the violence in Syria are suffering. Thousands have lost their limbs due to air strikes or disease.
We have supported a clinic in Syria to manufacture and fit prosthetic limbs to those disabled by war and poverty. With specialist state of the art technology and physiotherapy, we have helped 1,472 people so far walk, work and live again.
Shelter and protection – Myanmar
Thanks to the support of our generous donors, Muslim Aid is one of the few international aid agencies registered to operate in Myanmar.
We have a fully functioning office and have built more than 100 long shelters to provide homes to 5,320 internally displaced Rohingya.
Solar powered water desalination units – Gaza
97% of the water in Gaza is unfit for human consumption and with only 3-4 hours daily supply of electricity, Gazans were crying out for a solution.
We have installed over 100 solar powered water desalination units in UN protected schools and nurseries across Gaza. These units do not rely on electricity, are conflict resilient and are maintained by the local community.
