Since the conflict in Syria began in 2011, countless innocent citizens have been caught up in the senseless violence and devastation. These vulnerable people have been forced to flee their homes, leaving behind their possessions, communities, and everything they once held dear. A life lived on the road is challenging, lonely, and desperate – yet this is now the reality for so many Syrian people.

How to Help Syrian Refugees

Since the conflict in Syria began in 2011, countless innocent citizens have been caught up in the senseless violence and devastation. These vulnerable people have been forced to flee their homes, leaving behind their possessions, communities, and everything they once held dear. A life lived on the road is challenging, lonely, and desperate – yet this is now the reality for so many Syrian people.

It can be hard to know how to help Syrian refugees – from the UK, their harsh reality seems as though it’s a world away. However, there is so much that we can do to help ease the suffering of these vulnerable people in their time of need.

How to Help the Hungry

Sadly, hunger and starvation are very real possibilities for Syrian refugee families. With no home, no source of income, and very few – if any – possessions, these people have no way to make the money they need in order to buy food for their family.

Our family food packs contain essential supplies to feed and nourish an entire family, providing them with the nutrition they need in order to survive.

How to Help Syrian Children

The plight of vulnerable Syrian children tugs at the heartstrings, yet so many of these youngsters desperately need our support. However, one of the best ways to help Syrian orphans is to ensure that they have the supplies they need to face their future.

The family food packs that we distribute to Syrian refugee families include urgently required supplies for babies and young children, helping to ease the burden on their mothers. The supplies we distribute include baby wipes, biscuits, nappies, and formula milk, helping to give these innocent youngsters the best possible start in life.

How to Help the Sick and Injured

Due to the ongoing conflict, severe poverty, and a shortage of essential medical supplies and facilities, the sick and injured are unable to receive the care and treatment they urgently need. In order to support some of the most vulnerable members of society, and help people in Syria access the supplies they need - things need to change.

In addition to providing essential food packs for refugee families and Syrian orphans, your support can also pay for vital medical supplies to treat the sick and injured – including funding power generators for hospitals and clinics.

How Can I Help People in Syria?

Here at Muslim Aid, we are fully committed to doing everything we can to support Syrian refugees. Thanks to your generous support, we have already been able to provide life-saving essentials to some of the worst-affected Syrian refugees, families, and orphans, but with seemingly no end to the conflict in sight, there are always more defenceless people in need of our assistance.

By raising awareness and spreading the word about the suffering that Syrian refugees are facing each and every day, we hope that knowing how to help Syria will be a catalyst for change. As the conflict rages on, more and more innocent lives are changed forever, and for many of these people, a brighter future seems like nothing more than a distant, hopeful dream.

How can I help Syria? The answer is simple – keep the people of Syria in your minds and your hearts, and pray for an end to the conflict. Additionally, if you are able to do so, please consider donating to our Syria appeal to send vital aid to these vulnerable, impoverished people in their greatest time of need.

We pray that the people of Syria will not lose hope, and we pray that Allah (SWT) will grant them the strength they need for the hardships they face. Ameen.
