Sayuti from Aceh Besar was orphaned at the age of 6 years. Since the death of his parents he has been living in the care of his grandparents.

Sayuti is 14 years old now and has been sponsored for just over four years. His grandparents earn a small income through farming, due to their old age and poor health it has become difficult for them to provide a regular source of income. Droughts in the region have resulted in a fall in crop production which has significantly reduced the family's income.

Thanks to regular sponsorship Sayuti has enough money for school expenses and food and his performance at school has improved. His favourite subject is Physical Education and his ambition is to become a professional Footballer.
