1992 - The History Of Muslim Aid

Health & Agriculture in South East Asia

Primary healthcare programmes began in India, opening access to essential medical services for poor communities. Alongside health, agricultural development projects in Bangladesh were rolled out to restore livelihoods and enable families to cultivate land, reflecting a shift toward sustainable food security.

These early development efforts began to balance Muslim Aid’s emergency remit with longer-term interventions designed to build resilience.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
