Syria’s Disabled Survivors Appeal

Help us raise vital funds to help disabled survivors and vulnerable families in Syria access urgent medical care, mobility support, rehabilitation, and essential aid.

Your support can help restore dignity, independence, and hope to those affected by years of conflict.

Restoring Independence to Those Left Behind

They survived the war, but survival was only the beginning.

In Madiq Castle, Syria, hundreds of disabled survivors are living with the lasting impact of conflict long after the bombs have stopped. Damaged streets, inaccessible buildings and widespread poverty have left many trapped inside their homes, leaving them unable to work, provide for their families or move through their own communities with dignity.

For years, they have been forgotten.

A Different Kind of Struggle

For disabled survivors in Syria, daily life is filled with barriers others do not see.

Simple tasks most people take for granted, such as leaving the house, travelling through the streets, earning a living or supporting a family, have become daily struggles. Many survivors are isolated from their communities, unable to access opportunities or rebuild the lives they once had.

There is a father in a wheelchair, unable to reach the marketplace or a mother with disabilities trying to feed her children without any stable income. There are so many young people with skills and ambition, but no accessible opportunities to build a future.

These survivors are not asking for pity. They are asking for the chance to stand on their own feet again to work, earn and live with dignity.

How Your Donation Will Help

Working alongside a trusted local partner, Muslim Aid is delivering a long-term recovery programme supporting disabled survivors in Madiq Castle to regain independence and rebuild their futures.

Your support will help:

  • Provide tailored business coaching and mentoring
  • Equip disabled survivors with adapted tools and support to earn an income
  • Establish home-based and accessible small businesses
  • Improve community spaces and accessibility for disabled residents
  • Restore dignity, confidence and long-term independence

This project goes beyond emergency relief. It creates sustainable change by helping disabled survivors build livelihoods, support their families and reclaim their place within society.

Your Donation Transforms Lives

Your donation today can transform a life for years to come. By helping a disabled survivor earn an income and regain independence, you are giving more than financial support through restoring dignity, hope and the ability to provide for a family with honour.

Your charity can become a form of Sadaqah Jaariyah, continuing to benefit vulnerable families long after these blessed days have passed.

Real Change. Real Impact.

Your support can help transform lives across an entire community:

  • Disabled survivors earning independently once again
  • Families no longer dependent on aid alone
  • Accessible spaces where disabled people are included, not isolated
  • Stronger communities rebuilt for everyone

Over eight months, this programme will provide ongoing support, measurable impact and lasting opportunities for some of Syria’s most vulnerable survivors.
