1995 – Humanitarian Scale-Up

Humanitarian Scale-Up

The charity sustained major relief operations across Chechnya, Bosnia and Bangladesh. In Bosnia, Muslim Aid sent 524 tonnes of relief, including £40,000 in medical equipment, 1,000 baby kits, medicines for 20,000 people in Visoko, and two ambulances to Sarajevo. In Sudan, seven primary healthcare centres were established, helping 145,000 people.

Food, medicines, seeds and fertilisers were rushed to flood-affected communities in Bangladesh, while child and orphan welfare programmes continued to expand in war-affected areas.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
