1996 – Floods, Water & Shelter

Floods, Water & Shelter

When tornadoes hit Bangladesh and floods devastated Pakistan’s Punjab, Muslim Aid supplied food, shelter, medicines, seeds and fertiliser to thousands, supporting both immediate survival and longer-term recovery. The organisation completed major water supply works in Sudan’s Tangasal, Omdurman and Umbadda, giving many families fresh, safe water.

Qurbani and community support continued in conflict zones (including Satoy, Chechnya), illustrating Muslim Aid’s combined focus on emergency response and sustainable community rebuilding.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
