1997 – Earthquakes & Growing Networks

Muslim Aid is amongst the first to send emergency supplies to earthquake victims in Pakistan and Iraq, where hundreds died and over 40,000 were left homeless.

Earthquakes & Growing Networks

Muslim Aid was among the first responders to earthquakes in Pakistan and Iran and to cyclones in Bangladesh, delivering life-saving supplies to the newly homeless and injured. The charity broadened income-generation and skills training, supporting widows in Kenya and unemployed people in Bangladesh and Palestine.

This year also marked expansion of its international partner network  building capacity to respond faster and more widely.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
