1998 – Floods, Quakes & Livelihoods

Floods, Quakes & Livelihoods

Responding to catastrophic floods in Bangladesh and earthquakes in Afghanistan, Muslim Aid delivered emergency supplies and scaled livelihood and microfinance programmes into Kenya and Palestine. The charity’s economic empowerment efforts increasingly included interest-free microloans and skills training aimed at sustainable poverty reduction.

Relief efforts extended to Kosova, Sierra Leone and other crisis zones, and support for Iraqi children continued amid prolonged sanctions and hardship.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
