2005 – Recovery, Homes & Technology Access

Recovery, Homes & Technology Access

Muslim Aid established country offices in Sri Lanka and Indonesia to scale tsunami recovery, launched livelihood programmes and replaced water pumps and wells across affected areas. The Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan, inaugurated a 60-apartment housing project for 1999 earthquake survivors in Adapazari, a project jointly funded by Muslim Aid/ISAR Waqf and celebrated at national level.

In Guyana the Prime Minister opened a Muslim Aid–funded computer centre to improve digital access for local families, while large-scale Qurbani and fundraising appeals demonstrated strong public engagement.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
