Field Expansion & Emergency Partnerships 

Muslim Aid opened its 10th field office in Cambodia to run orphan care, Qurbani and microfinance programmes, launched microfinance nationwide in new areas, and expanded MAIT (Muslim Aid Institute of Technology) in Bangladesh. Trade skills learnt include electrical engineering, computerprogramming, mobile services and repairing,tailoring and beautician skills, helping them toearn an income. 

The Indonesia field office ran a Ramadan meal programme benefiting 34,000 children across 114 orphanages. 

When Cyclone Sidr hit Bangladesh within hours Muslim Aid supplied clean water for 50,000 people, food andmedical aid to 300,000 families, two mobile field hospitals treating over 30,000 people and working closely with ECHO, constructed 2700 permanent coreshelters and 800 transitional shelters and local “cash-for-work” programmesto helpfamilies rebuild their lives. 

Other Strategic partnerships deepened including with UMCOR (US), GlobalMedic (Canada), ADB, strengthening emergency and rehabilitation responses across Asia.
