2011 – Drought, Displacement & Winter Support

Drought, Displacement & Winter Support

Responding to Somalia’s worst drought in 60 years, Muslim Aid launched appeals reaching around one million people with food, healthcare, water and counselling. The Warm Hearts Winter Campaign in the UK supported the homeless and elderly during cold months.

As Syria’s conflict displaced millions, Muslim Aid reached 17,899 families inside Syria with one-month food packages and supported refugees across Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq; MA established Beity orphanage in Turkey to care for 100 Syrian orphaned children.

We are a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, injustice, deprivation or lack of skills and economic opportunities.
