Dr Sabrya Carim is a trained scientist, with a PhD in Cell Biology. Sabrya has worked in lab-based research for 10 years across two continents, before transitioning into science publishing. She is now a science editor working at Nature Cell Biology, a high-profile journal that publishes scientific research. Sabrya is part of a minority of women from an underrepresented ethnic group working in science publishing. She is passionate about science and deeply committed to making science and STEM more diverse and equitable. As a trained public speaker, Sabrya uses her voice to advocate for girls and women from diverse backgrounds to step into, and stay in, science and STEM careers, championing greater representation at every level.
