An estimated 59 million primary school-aged children in the world have no access to education, the vast majority of them live in extreme poverty. They include children affected by challenging geography, conflict and natural disasters, but also those in urban slums or remote rural areas.

After months stuck at home due to covid-19, many children are heading back to class and being reunited with their friends. But not every child will be so lucky. Children who live in low-income countries, in refugee camps and war-zones may never return to school – especially girls.

Each day that passes, they grow more vulnerable to hunger, violence, child labour or child marriage.

We're facing the biggest global education emergency of our lifetime.

What will sponsorship provide?

• Early Learning Opportunities:  we provide a strong foundation for children by ensuring they have access to education in their early years. Trained teachers and dedicated facilities provide preschool children with environments tailored to support the culture of learning. 
• Family income:  we provide skills training and financial assistance to support parents to start their own businesses so they can ensure a stable income. Having financial security at home enables children to focus on their education without the pressure to give up on their studies or even have to earn themselves. 
• Generational growth: Through five to 10 years of long-term support, we will give communities what they need to thrive. From renovating school buildings and providing teacher training to giving access to clean water and healthcare, your sponsorship can make it happen.
