As a Muslim father of two young children, I have always struggled to find something appropriate on YouTube for my children to watch. No one can deny that we live in an intellectual spiral that is destructive to the family and society, targeting the younger generations, beginning and ending with children, as they are the youth of the future. Hardly a single cartoon series is devoid of ideas of homosexuality, intellectual poisons, and deviant beliefs such as polytheism and others (water gods, fire gods, etc.), not to mention its embodiment of the details of the lifestyle in Western societies. From the idea of friendship between the sexes, intimate relationships outside marriage, drinking alcohol, and much more, turning it into dubbed cartoons and presenting it to our children in our conservative Islamic societies.
This is a story repeated by thousands and even millions of Muslims and non-Muslims around the world who suffer from this scourge that has entered our homes, and each of us finds ourselves forced to give up certain principles or accept their existence, convincing ourselves that they have these things and they will not have a significant negative impact simply by preserving them. Our children. Busy. Briefly. From time. . !
This is what prompted us not long ago to establish an animation studio concerned with producing animation in a way that suits our culture, identity, and communities.
We are an Animation Studio based in Kuwait. HART Animation Studio has been established in 2015 as a family business with passion. Our goal was to put an Arab imprint in the world of animation, focusing on identity and spreading Islamic values and principles in a creative and high-quality manner, which depends on its topics on the reference for the Qur’an and Sunnah. We were surprised by a local reality that uses social media only for the purposes of commercial marketing for businesses and companies, without paying attention to spreading cultural awareness that bears fruit in the long term, which prompted us to meet the demand in the local market only for the sake of survival. But our compass has not strayed from its goal, and we are still thirsty to produce Islamic films and series with authentic references from the Qur’an and Sunnah. So, we turned to muslimaid.org to fund our project, which will be shown on YouTube for the general benefit of all children around the world.
