Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.

Every Ramadan a group of us from the UK make the intention to start a Project that will directly help our Muslim brothers and sisters who are in need around the world. This year we have gone out to a location and conducted the initial research of the Project ourselves in order to cut out the need for a third party organisation and to guarantee a 100% donation policy (donations – end user).

What is our goal?

For this coming Ramadan we have made the intention to support one large-scale Project in Sharpin-Para, Sylhet, Bangladesh and one small-scale Project in Rohdimer-Para, Sylhet, Bangladesh.

The large-scale Project located in Sharpin-Para will be to build a Mosque, Hafizia Madrasah and Orphanage in one complex where the orphans will be studying to become Hufaaz. This amazing 3-in-1 sadaqah opportunity was too big to give up! To reach this goal we have made the intention to raise £17,000 with the permission of Allah (swt).

The small-scale Project located in Rohimer-Para will be to finish the build of an already existing Madrasah. To reach this goal we have made the intention to raise £3,000 with the permission of Allah (swt).

As the areas are neighboring one another we decided to work on both Projects together as the logistics were already in place to allow this.

The two areas, located on the Indian boarder, are in extreme poverty as we saw with our own eyes the living standards of the local areas. At times it was difficult not to get emotional due to the way these families were living where parents had no option but to send their 5 year old to do extreme labour intensive work. The land which both Madrasahs are situated has been donated by the locals as it is their only opportunity of providing an education or even shelter for their children who they simply cannot afford to house, feed or clothe.

We have made the intention to visit the Madrasahs once during the building stage and once upon completion. This is to provide first-hand evidence of how donations have been used and to manage the progress of the Project ourselves. We have already secured a team to manage the Project in Bangladesh, of which two of the members will be the Imam of the Sharpin-Para Madrasah and the Head Master of the Rohimer-Para Madrasah. The donations will be sent directly to the management team and we will keep track of all expenditure where possible. We aim to be as transparent as possible from the inception of this Project to its completion.

‘Adi ibn Hatim reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“Guard yourself from the Hellfire, even with half of a date in charity. If one cannot find it, then with a kind word.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

If this is the reward for giving just half a date in charity, imagine the reward you could get from being amongst those who contribute to this Project.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any queries that you may have.

Sadaqah Jariyah Appeal

Acts of kindness are a massive part of Islam, especially giving to charity, which is considered an act of worship. This means that giving to those less fortunate helps Muslims to strengthen their faith and build a closer connection to Allah (SWT). One of the most rewarding acts of charity a believer can make is Sadaqah Jariyah. This holds greater value than other forms of giving in Islam and can provide continuous benefits to both the giver and the receiver. Your Sadaqah Jariyah can create a meaningful difference to countless vulnerable lives around the world, providing them with life-saving care and resources that give them self-sufficiency.

Give Sadaqah Jariyah with Muslim Aid to save lives continuously for many years to come.
