Society For The Promotion of Human Rights is also known as SPHR Bangladesh. It is a human rights organization situated at Meherpur, Bangladesh. It got its first registration (REG : 09/99) from Department Of Social Services on 11th feb,1999. On 27th Nov, 2002, it got registration (REG : 1765) from NGO Affairs Bureau. Abu Abid is the founder and executive director of this organization. The foundation aims to work for the basic needs of human like food, education, and women’s rights. This organization has mission to develop its community people and remove poverty from Meherpur District. Its vision is establishing human rights in 64 districts of Bangladesh.
SPHR has been working for the poor rural people at Meherpur District since, 1999. The people of its community had been suffering from food insecurity, malnutrition. They girl were married to men at a very early age. The boys also dropped their school to work with their fathers in the field. Poverty had been destroying their social life like a worm. Still most of the rural people who live in these union (Kutubpur, Buripota, Amjhupi, Amdah, and Pirojpur) have been living under poverty line. They still can hardly manage food for themselves. In this circumstances, they don't have ability to buy winter clothes to protect themselves from the cold. They also wish to sleep in comfortable bed and cover their body with winter sheets. But who can fulfil their needs but us? As a mulism, it is our responsibility to stand beside these poor people, isn't it? SPHR is not being able to raise so much fund from its locality. So, Abu abid is requesting all to contribute here for his community. Together we can make them safe from the misery of winter. Lets try to spread our hands of love for the poor rural people who have been suffering from winter difficulties at Meherpur. We must get rewards from our lord (Allah) if we do good deeds.
